The movie sequel is called Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten, and the release date has yet to be specified. On 25th April 2021, during the 10th anniversary event of the Madoka Magica franchise, news of a sequel to the 2013 movie Rebellion was announced. It will be an international free-zoned Blu-ray edition which includes the movies in their original version with french subtitles. Puella Magi Madoka Magica shocked the anime community in 2011 with its dark take on the fluffy magical girl genre.

In France, Aniplex through Wakanim offers you to pre-order the two first movies of Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica in Blu-ray and get them at the same they will be released in Japan.The films will be available to customers in the United States, Canada, England, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Central and South America, and release date will be July 30, 2013. Both editions will also include a Japanese language audio track and subtitles in Japanese, English, French, Spanish, Chinese, and Korean.
